Or have you ever gone up to someone in church who you've never seen before, introduce
yourself to them, then ask if they are first time visitors only to find they've
been attending for a year? Both of these exact same situations have happened to me on
more that one occasion. I have made it a goal to meet 1 or 2
new people each week. I read in an article once where a well known Christian
artist told a worship leader that he wished that he were in his shoes, so
he could get to meet the people he was influencing instead of being in a
new town each week.So what is the solution? Now while it is near impossible to
get to know and meet everyone in tn requin the church, there is something I have committed
to do, and I encourage you to give it a try as well if you
are finding yourself in this same situation. Regrettably this appearance can be damaging to the
effectiveness of your ministry. The second negative aspect is that we are missing out on a
huge blessing by not getting to know the people we are leading in worship week
after week. Another issue is that on Sunday morning I am running around trying to
make sure that everything is ready for the service. I have seen many faces come
and go. But then again on the flip side of that I must say that
I could do a much better job at getting to know and meet people.Unfortunately, nike pas cher there
are 2 key negative aspects of not getting out meeting and greeting the people more
often?First there is the appearance that we are being aloof or that we are too
good to socialize with the congregation. Now to my defense in the past eight years
we have had new visitors in our church every single week. It's not just a
little bit embarrassing I must say. And because of that I am usually not able
to mingle, if you will, with the congregation. Then I make notes in my journal
about that person or persons and I commit to pray for them by name throughout
the week. Has this ever happened to you? You go to the market to get
some groceries and someone walks up to you and says "Hello Jim, How are you
doing?" Then they begin to have a conversation with you and in the back
of your mind you are thinking, this person obviously knows me but I have no
idea who they are. Then on Sunday morning you see that person in church
and realize that they are a member of your church. Then I make it a
point to greet them the following Sunday. With this practice I am slowly beginning to meet
more and more of the people I am called to shepherd and lead in worship. And
now I would like to invite you to get a free copy of my mini-guide
